Are you aware that you may have highly-qualified college graduates in your own community who have the potential to become alternatively licensed teachers? If you know of someone with a bachelors or higher degree who would like to become a licensed teacher, we can help you in this process.
Or perhaps you are wondering if such people exist in your community. The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions has offices throughout the state whose highly trained staff will help you to recruit job seekers in your area.
Please refer any potential teacher candidates to this website. Qualifications may be determined from the information provided. Also, there is a checklist which will guide the teacher candidate through the process of applying for an Internship License.
A qualified candidate with an Internship License may begin teaching, and simultaneously complete the process leading to a standard teaching license.
