SLL for Educators

Note: Effective June 30, 2010, the Public Education Department (PED) will increase the amount for License Application Processing Fee. View the memorandum and new licensure fee structure.

Note: The NMPED will not process any payment remitted until you have completed steps #1–4. Failure to complete steps #1–4 will result in your remitted payment being returned, which will delay your SLL submission process.

If you are not currently employed in a New Mexico school and/or your license has been expired for more than one year, you must complete the NMPED Professional Licensure Unit Paper Application.

In order to use the electronic system for renewal of licensure at the same level you must have a valid email account and be currently employed in a New Mexico school and your license will expire on June 30th of the calendar year.

Only licenses is in the year of expiration are eligible for renewal. Funds will be returned to Ineligible applicants.

Complete Your Profile

Register and create an account

Please access your account regularly to update your personal information.

Review/Renew Your License

Review the current and expired licenses associated with your license number.

Note: Licenses expired more than one year are NOT available for renewal online.

Submit Your Payment

The cost to you is per submission process regardless of how many licenses you renew in one submission.


The charge on your credit card bill will be from “VisionLink, Inc.”

Check Renewal Status

Check the status (Pending, Approved, Not Approved) of your application online.
