The Educator Quality Division of the Public Education Department supports increased academic excellence and student achievement by recruiting and retaining highly effective educators through:

1. Ensuring that all educators are properly licensed by way of both traditional and alternative pathways

2. The implementation of the Three Tier Teacher Licensure System

3. Comprehensive and extensive background checks and adherence to all applicable laws and Educator Ethics Bureau requirements
